PUT VICTORIA ON THE TABLE

The Roast Collection — 1st to the 30th June 2010

During the month of June, we will be offering a wonderful French Roast using nothing but the best of local produce. It will be incorporated into our Express Lunch that will be available daily from Monday to Friday. Included will be a 2 course meal and a glass of fine Victorian wine - $35.00 per person.

BASTILLE DAY — 14 JULY 2010

‘ La Fête Nationale’

It is our great pleasure to announce that our principal chefs Lionel and Yannick will create a special Bastille Day menu.  Aptly titled Chef’s tour of the South’ Lionel and Yannick will take patrons on a fabulous culinary and cultural exploration of the districts finest foods.

Bastille Day celebrations will take place on Wednesday 14th July — six course degustation dinner, $95.00 per person including Kir Royal on arrival and entertainment.

Amuse bouche

Oyster with watercress and champagne jelly

Brandade Nimoise

Brandade , kipfler potatoes, house smoked tomatoes, olive oil and tomato jus emulsion

Soupe de rouget

Red mullet soup served with aioli, croutons and gruyere cheese

Duo de lapin

Braised rabbit leg with green olives and ceps, roasted loin with prune and Armagnac

Pork languedoccien

Pork filet wrapped in pancetta , black pudding, white cabbage , star anise & honey sauce

Tomme de chêvre

French goat  cheese with lavender infused honey & walnuts, sauternes poached carrot

Tarte au citron

Lemon tart served with a thyme and olive oil ice cream

The French Brasserie is thrilled to be an official dining partner of the Melbourne International Film Festival.  During this period the French is offering a Pre-Theatre menu — 2 courses and a glass of wine for $39.50 per person.
